Title: Volunteer Opportunity with Nankind for Childcare Providers

Position Summary:
Nankind (formerly Nanny Angel Network) is looking for skilled childcare providers to volunteer and provide support for families affected by cancer. The volunteers will visit weekly, build trust and rapport with the children, provide fun, educational, and safe experiences, and help the parents gain confidence and peace of mind knowing their children are cared for and supported by compassionate volunteers.

Responsibilities:

Provide 4 hours of childcare service per week to the same family.
Offer fun, educational, creative, and safe experiences for the children.
Maintain consistent communication and feedback with Nankind staff.
Attend and complete specialized training, including grief and bereavement support.
Requirements:

Skilled childcare providers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of families affected by cancer.
Volunteers must commit to a minimum of six months to ensure support during the duration of a parent's cancer treatment and recovery.
Must be available to volunteer in the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, Kingston, or Barrie.
All volunteers are required to undergo a thorough screening process, including reference and police checks.
